The damages of extreme heat can be devastating. Heat stress causes extreme discomfort to the birds and high temperatures can limit bird growth. Evaporative cooling is a very effective way to reduce heat stress and can drop the temperature inside the poultry house by 7 to 8 degrees Celsius. This can often translate into the difference between mortality and livability.
